初試翻譯有感 :
老同事 Atchuthan Sekharan 在我的面薄上留言,希望我能把作品的華文部份翻譯成英文以共享.這可難倒我了.我的嗜好之一為中華書法,就因為要以較輕鬆的方式來表达,我才選擇了自己創作四句話或八句話,然后把它們以書法呈現出來.
舉个例子吧,我對" 高文城即景之二" 這四句話是蠻喜歡的,這四句話如下:
人盡鉛華站舞台
百歲一瞬不悲哀
不憎不貪不抱怨
願作春風再吹來.
看了老同事的留言,我作了如下的嘗試, 但也只能作到意譯,却不能表現中華古体詩的韻味了.我的意譯如下:
All men have tendencies for putting up a show of life
One shall not regrets as living a hundred years is still too sudden when one dies.
No feeling of hate, greediness or complaining of their life.
If men will be reborn to this world and i wish to become as the spring wind to touch all life!
在我家老二可豪和智卿的幫助下,勉强作了以上的嘗試.如有能人譯家不吝指正,在下先此謝了!
